MANASSAS, VA — One person was injured during a home invasion in Manassas on Friday morning, according to the Prince William County Police Department. Authorities deployed a K-9 and a helicopter to search for two suspects.

Now, authorities say the incident does not appear to be random.

The home invasion occurred before 6 a.m. on Friday morning at a home in the 7100 block of Token Valley Road. A homeowner, who police identified as a 32-year-old man, called the police and reported that two men had entered his home.

The homeowner reported that the men were armed and demanded money, according to the police report. Authorities claimed that the encounter “escalated” when the suspects struck the homeowner with their weapon.

After the burglary, two suspects fled the scene, according to the police department. A police helicopter and a K-9 responded to the area to search for the suspects, who were not located.

The homeowner was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, police said. No property was reported missing.

The suspects were described as two Hispanic men wearing all black clothing and Nike shoes. The police department reported that the incident does not appear to be random.
