HICKORY, N.C. — The owner of Hickory Park Furniture Galleries has opened a Rock House Farm Factory Outlet at Hickory Furniture Mart, the retailer’s third showroom in the home furnishings center.

The 25,000-square-foot outlet, located at the south entrance on Level 1, opened Feb. 1, a few weeks before the Mart’s upcoming anniversary clearance sale running from Friday through Feb. 17. It offers showroom samples, discontinued items and other cash-and-carry, goods from Rock House Farm Family of Brands.

The Rock House Farm brands are cross merchandised in the outlet. Shown here is a mix of Century, Hickory Chair, Highland House, Pearson, Jessica Charles, Hancock & Moore and Maitland Smith product.

Those brands include luxury lines Century Furniture, Hancock & Moore, Hickory Chair, Highland House, Jessica Charles, Maitland-Smith, and Pearson, all featured in the new outlet at discounted prices as these brands “transition inventories throughout retail galleries nationwide,” according to a release.  New inventory will be arriving weekly at the market and inventory availability can be checked online.

“We have often thought about the opportunity to offer a multi-brand factory outlet to our customers, but with RHF’s recent acquisition of such popular luxury brands as Hickory Chair, Maitland-Smith and Pearson, we knew the timing was finally right,” David Bolick, co-owner of Hickory Park Furniture Galleries, said in a release.

“We remodeled our new space into more of a boutique outlet to highlight and display each brand in the best possible manner for our customers and look forward to offering everyone high quality luxury outlet products at affordable prices.”

Hickory Park Furniture Galleries operates two other showrooms in the Mart totaling 85,000 square feet, including a two-level showroom on the north end that already carried most of the Rock House brands. Nevertheless, there isn’t a true product overlap, since the north showroom focuses on special order goods, while the outlet is offering market samples and a broad spectrum of other special goods sold off the floor at below wholesale cost, said Andy Lominac, marketing and public relations specialist for Hickory Park.

Trish Maney , who manages the new outlet, brings industry and outlet experience from her previous  work with the former Heritage Home Group and Furniture Brands International.

“We have enjoyed our long-term partnership with both Rock House Farm and Hickory Park Furniture Galleries for years, and we are looking forward to this exciting new venture together,” said Tracey Trimble, executive vice president and general manager at Hickory Furniture Mart.
